Thank you to the 11 members that participated in this survey, with the exception of minor spelling corrections this is the exact replies that was given.  I hope we can learn something from it and apply that knowledge as applicable. I encourage you to expound on this in your individual meetings and encourage your Worshipful Master's and Worthy Matrons to share your thoughts with the Grand Lodge to further implement and improve this jurisdictions.

1. Are you Happy with the way King David and Queen of Sheba is progressing?

• 73% are happy with the way we are progressing

• 27% are not happy with the way we are progressing

2. What are the reason you joined the Fraternity

• 100% joined to fellowship

• 73% joined for Charity/Community Work

• 73% joined for a deeper meaning to live

  • 36% had other reasons including:

    • Family, being a part of something different that has meaning on life

    • Frat life

    • Networking and Education

    • to better myself

    • Seeing life and living within the strength of the lord and the people I will love as brothers and sisters.

    • The mystery and wanting to know is what caused me to join

    • To make a difference in my community.

    • That's it

    • A Brother came up to me and told me I can be a better person. Meet other people.

    • I wanted to become a better a better man.

    • To understand myself more by improving in my self-worth"

3. What can we do to increase membership?

• Need too host more social events that attract a younger members

• Teach more

• Be Seen more

• Stay true in what we believe in about the Lodge and the chapter. Speak the true in loving everyone as one. Show others we believe in whom are is good people and not what they see or think is being in our organization.

• More charity work put out into the community

• Educate the members on the work.

• Bring in Younger people, do some community work, have a purpose all together

• drop the age to 18

• To go out in public more and have some fundraiser's.

• Maybe too involved in the community a little more

4. What would you like to see changed about our Jurisdiction?

• Updating the way we do business.

• More teaching, use of the temple

• Better teaching. More subjects. The ability to bridge the gap between the lessons of Masonry and real life.

• Love and upstanding about each other. Be brothers and sisters for life of love.

• We defiantly need to find a way to gain new members

• Install an air conditioning system.

5. What are you willing to do to help make the Jurisdiction better (remember your answers are anonymous?)

• Be more active in the jurisdiction

• Rejoin

• Organize the leaders

• represent, volunteer my services when available

• Work until all dreams is for fill of love and happiness.

• Come up with plans to be more charitable, also represent myself more as a Mason to hopefully draw friends in.

• The same thing that I've been doing.

• Get out and put forth a name for ourselves

• I think I do more already.

• To bring in more members and to teach them well.

Cable Tow

A cable tow is a rope or line for drawing or leading. A compound word of Masonic coinage combining cable (a rope) and tow (a rope for pulling). Symbolically, it represents the covenant by which all Masons are bound; the tie by which the candidate is bound to his brethren; the length of a Mason’s cable tow is the scope of his ability to go to the relief of a Brother in need.
